ASA Brothers and Sisters,
These are the key announcements for Friday
8/15/08:
1. Alhamdo-Lillah, the blessed month of
Ramadan is going to start in about 2 weeks. We will
announce it here as soon as we know and also post it on the Masjid website
http://www.masjidalnoor.com
. You can also call the Masjid at
845-297-0882.
- Please join us for Sunday Community
Iftaar/Dinners.
- We have posted a sign-up sheet on the
bulletin board for folks interested in bringing Iftaars/Dinners during the month
of Ramadan (other than Sundays). Please sign up at your earliest
convenience.
2. MHIA is participating in the Town of
Wappinger's Community Day Parade, scheduled for Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 2
PM to 3:15 PM. If you are interested in the parade, please contact Br Aziz
Ahsan.

ASA Brothers and Sisters,
These are the key announcements for Friday 8/8/08:
1. Alhamdo-Lillah, the blessed month of Ramadan is going to start in about 3
weeks. Insha-Allah, we will start the holy month after confirmed moon
sighting in North America.
- Hafiz Muhammad Shareef from Rawalpindi
has graciously accepted our invitation and will be joining Imam Asil Khan in
leading the daily Taraweeh prayers.
- As in previous years, we will be
having Community Iftaar/Dinners every Sunday. Please bless us with your
presence and break fast with us.
- We have posted a sign-up sheet on the
bulletin board for folks interested in bringing Iftaars/Dinners during the month
of Ramadan (other than Sunday). Please sign up at your earliest convenience.
2. The Picnic on August 23rd has been
cancelled due to many brothers and sisters being away on vacation and
the event being so close to the start of the month of Ramadan.
3. Status of Poughkeepsie Masjid:
Alhamdo-Lillah, a Building permit has been granted by the City of Poughkeepsie.
There is another meeting with the Planning Board during the third week of
August to help clear requirements for the first floor. Your show of support
during this meeting will be very much appreciated. We will announce the
date/time as soon as we know.
